Your personal data
Public or private attributes and data will be used by GenePartner GmbH for purposes of statistical analysis about the GenePartner GmbH users. Such analysis may include, but is not limited to counting the number of users grouped by age, ethnic group, associating HLA variants with user-reported feedbacks. In case of presentation of such statistical data, GenePartner GmbH will ensure that user identities remain unexposed.
GenePartner GmbH may disclose your personal information only if we believe such action is necessary to: comply with the law or legal process served upon GenePartner GmbH or to protect and defend the rights or property of GenePartner GmbH in relation to your agreement with GenePartner GmbH. Except for the above, GenePartner GmbH will under no circumstances provide user information to any third party, including hospitals, government agencies, health management organizations and insurance companies.
Genetic data
Your saliva sample will be sent to laboratory for analysis. The laboratory will not have access to your personal information. A unique GenePartnerID will allow us to link data derived from your sample to your account. After analysis, the remaining DNA sample will be destroyed.
User accounts
Once you place your order, we will send a buccal swab kit to your address. In your welcoming letter you will find your unique GenePartnerID number and your password. You will be able to change your password when you login to your account for the first time. Your GenePartnerID number is fixed and cannot be changed.
You will use your GenePartnerID to run a matching program. It is your responsibility to keep your GenePartnerID and your password safe.
In case of a lost password and/or GenePartnerID, you can request a password and/or GenePartnerID recovery. We will send an email to your address with your GenePartnerID and provisionary password. You will be prompted to change the password next time to login to your account.
GenePartner needs your email address to contact you, but you can change your email address once your account has been created. Email addresses cannot and will not be used to identify users.
As a GenePartner user you will be asked to provide billing and shipping information to buy GenePartner test and receive the GenePartnerID. This information is collected by PayPal or the Credit Card company, but only shipping information is available to GenePartner GmbH.
